Holiday Treasures From the Sea
One of the bonuses of living by the ocean is being able to walk the beach on any given day and clear your head. I particularly love it this time of year when everyone has gone back to school or left for the summer and it is like my own personal stretch of beach.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, collecting, polishing and gilding clamshells has been so therapeutic and good for my soul. I am continuing to add to my collection and thankfully I am in two stores here on the shore. I have decided to go ahead and open an Etsy store as well. As it was with setting up this blog, learning to put that store together online was good for the old brain. You are never too old to learn something new!
With the holidays around the corner, maybe there is someone on your list that would like a place to put their jewelry or perhaps they love to entertain and would like an unusual salt and pepper pinch set for their table. Another idea is to tuck them next to the bed in your guest rooms for company to put jewelry or change in and then take home with them as a gift. The larger shells also are fun in a powder room with a nice individual soap. I am sure you can come up with other creative uses on your own.
